Can you believe this? Right in my own backyard...
It seems really easy to blame Mr. Softee here, doesn’t it folks? But I won’t. I’ve lived too long with Mr. Softee and all the good treats he provides.
Before I get into lists and long explanations, I’ll say two things and then give you enough time to get mad at me:
- Too much of anything isn’t good for you. There is nothing wrong with balance. Give the kids some treats…especially if they deserve it.
- If PARENTS made their kids run and play and do some form of exercise instead of sitting in front of a TV all day, maybe they won’t have to worry about the foods they eat (or don’t eat).
I’m getting over a bad cold right now and that’s why I haven’t been posting like I need to. Don’t you hate it when real life just gets in the way?
This isn’t just happening in the US. It’s all over the world! However I am glad that people are doing something about. It may not be the best solution, but it’s a start.

Didn’t I just talk about Chinese food (or Chinese-American, to be more specific) the other day? Yep, sure did.
Now there are a lot of things that Kristie can do AND STILL KEEP HER JUNK!! One really good instance is with butter. Instead of regular butter, she can use organic ghee. According to food-india.com, Ghee is a clarified butter without any solid milk particles or water. Now as far as the sugar…we’ll definitely talk about that more in Healthy Junk. Why?
