Junk News IX: Perez Hilton – Fat Ass Alert

I just read this and had to post it to you. Here’s an excerpt from Perez’s post:

After leaving her Jenny Craig regiment, the former Cheers cast member started to indulge in all the things she was never allowed to have. “My food demons are Chinese food, sugar, butter. A lot of butter.

Didn’t I just talk about Chinese food (or Chinese-American, to be more specific) the other day? Yep, sure did. ;)

Now there are a lot of things that Kristie can do AND STILL KEEP HER JUNK!! One really good instance is with butter. Instead of regular butter, she can use organic ghee. According to food-india.com, Ghee is a clarified butter without any solid milk particles or water. Now as far as the sugar…we’ll definitely talk about that more in Healthy Junk. Why? Because this entire post is about sugar and the control of it.

Most people don’t realize that there are plenty of things in junk food that cause problems. Excessive amounts of sugar (in various forms), salt, and Hydrogenated (or Partially Hydrogenated) Vegetable Oil are on the most talked about ingredients in junk food that cause your body issues. I’m going to get a little bit in Fight dis-ease! mode when I first start to talk about sugar but in the end, I’ll keep it light and help you out. :)

The real moral of the story when it comes to Kirstie Alley is this:

People do things. Forget the try. They do it but don’t maintain for too long so the fall off the wagon. Most of us will stay down or start to “try” only to go back to the side of the road. Very few of us will dust ourselves off, run back to the vehicle and get back on the wagon. Even less will stay on the wagon and soon become the driver.

Kristie Alley fell off. So what? That doesn’t mean that she can’t get back on the wagon and look healthy and fresh again. Not at all! So don’t think that this will apply to you. You tried this and that but now you’re back to square one. So what? Don’t play the victim. This means that now you have to get the discipline to stick with something for the long haul. You need the power to look inside and see what YOU’RE doing to halt progress. The tools you use to lose weight can only do what they do. Sometimes in order for them to work, your mind has to “work.”

I hope you understand what I’m trying to say. And if you don’t…whatever! You’ll get it next time. (lol)

If you’re gonna eat junk, it might as well be Healthy Junk!
